Known as a “Small Camino de Santiago”, a path between Florence and Lucca, which contains an exceptional concentration of art, history, nature and religious testimonies, to be conquered on foot.
The 110 km long walk is divided into four stages:
- Florence – Prato
- Prato – Pistoia
- Pistoia – Pescia
- Pescia – Lucca
Places of faith and ancient abbeys, villas and castles, woods and countryside, medieval villages and cities of art testify that this journey can be undertaken as an autonomous destination to reach Pistoia – a city called Minor Santiago due to the presence of a very important relic of St. James the Greater, the only one coming from the body of the Apostle preserved in Santiago de Compostela – or as a “preparation” or beginning of the great Spanish pilgrimage, of which it is part of.
