Wandering through the old town you will discover the beauty of various medieval buildings and the majesty of the Cathedral, the Piccolomini Library, the Opera Metropolitana Museum. Siena will delight you also for its typical shops, where local gourmet products will attract your attention without a doubt. Monteriggioni is an extremely charming walled Medieval village, definitely a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cappuccino somewhere in the main square, relax and enjoy the beauty of the place.

Or, after Siena you can reach Cortona. This small charming town in the Valdichiana, or Chiana Valley, in the province of Arezzo in southern Tuscany. The city, enclosed by stone walls dating back to Etruscan and Roman times, sits on the top of a hill. The heart of Cortona is Piazza della Repubblica, with the Palazzo Comunale or town hall building overlooking the square.
The city is small but offers many interesting places to visit, among these the Diocesan Museum, the Archeological Park and the Santa Margherita Santuary. The highest point on the hill is easy to reach after a short, uphill walk.  Following the path that follows the city walls, you can also enjoy a beautiful view over the surrounding countryside.

Day 3:

When in Tuscany, you can’t miss Florence – an “open air museum”. The piazzas and buildings themselves are a testament to the architectural beauty of the past. Florence’s cathedral, churches and many palaces were designed, built and decorated by many of the most illustrious artists of the time, from Brunelleschi to Michelangelo. In Florence everybody will definitely find something for them!

Day 4:

Today we will visit the medieval Manhattan  – San Gimignano. It is situated on a hill, surrounded by the lovely Tuscan countryside. The Cathedral, the town hall and the town hall yard are a real charm! After a walk around the city centre and an ice cream in Piazza della Cisterna, we will continue the tour and go to a farmhouse in the area of San Gimignano for wine tasting. In the afternoon Certaldo – the home town of Boccaccio will be waiting for us! We will reach Certaldo Alto by funicular from where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Elsa Valley.
