Day 1:
Arrival in Montecatini Terme. Accommodation in a centrally placed 3 star Hotel. After a Welcome Drink, dinner will be served.
Day 2:
Full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano. Siena is a Unesco world heritage city with its spectacular Piazza del Campo where the famous Palio, horse-race is staged. Siena will delight you also with its typical shops, where local gourmet products will attract your attention without a doubt. In the afternoon you will reach a local agrotourism where a light lunch with slow food products will be served. After lunch we will reach San Gimignano, often called Medieval Manhattan because of numerous medieval towers, and surrounded by the lovely Tuscan countryside. Time for a Cappuccino and some free time. Dinner at the Hotel.
Day 3:
Today your concert will take place. After breakfast, rehearsal at the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta in the main square of Montecatini Terme.
In the afternoon, you will have free time for visiting some of the most beautiful places in Montecatini. We have not only SPA’s and Thermal Establishments, but also a historical funicular, which will bring you to the old part of Montecatini – Montecatini Alto. From here you have a great view all over the Valdinievole area.
Now it’s time to do back to the Hotel. After dinner it will be time for your concert at the Basilica.
Day 4:
Half-day guided tour to Lucca, the birth place of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. When in Lucca, be sure to look up! You will see the towers that still today stretch all the way up over the city’s rooftops: the characteristic Torre delle Ore and the great Torre Guinigi, crowned with Holm Oak leaves. A short distance away you will find Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, with its unmistakable elliptical shape, built in the original Roman structure. Light lunch in Lucca with some typical Tuscan specialties and some free time for yourself. Then we reach the Hotel. Time for a quick clothes change and you will reach Torre del Lago Puccini for an incredible evening with Puccini’s masterpieces!
