12 evenings with the great Puccini classics, this is the only opera festival in the world totally dedicated to the composer Giacomo Puccini. Organized each year, in summer – July and August, in the beautiful Torre del Lago, it attracts tens of thousands of spectators from all over the world. Sample programme:

Day 1:

Arrival in Montecatini Terme. Accommodation in a centrally placed 4 star Hotel. After a Welcome Drink, dinner will be served.

Day 2:

Full day excursion to Siena and San Gimignano. Siena is a Unesco world heritage city with its spectacular Piazza del Campo where the famous Palio, horse-race is staged. Siena will also delight you with its typical shops, where local gourmet products will attract your attention without a doubt.

In the afternoon we will reach San Gimignano, often called Medieval Manhattan because of numerous medieval towers, and surrounded by the lovely Tuscan countryside. Time for a Cappuccino and some free time. Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 3:

Today we will reach Florence. The most convenient way to arrive in Florence is by train, the journey takes only 50 minutes. Our local tour guide will be waiting for us at the station, and will show us around this beautiful city. When in Florence, try not to miss a visit at MERCATO CENTRALE, a daily market, where you can taste and buy our local products of good quality. In the afternoon some free time.

Today a nice “Pasta Party” will be served at the hotel.

Day 4:

Half-day guided tour to Lucca, the birth place of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini. When in Lucca, be sure to look up! You will see the towers that still today stretch all the way up over the city’s rooftops: the characteristic Torre delle Ore and the great Torre Guinigi, crowned with Holm Oak leaves. A short distance away you will find Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, with its unmistakable elliptical shape, built in the original Roman structure.

Wine tasting in Montecarlo with some typical Tuscan specialties and some free time for yourself. Then we reach the Hotel. Time for a quick clothes change and you will reach Torre del Lago Puccini for an incredible evening with Puccini’s masterpieces!
