Tuscany is not only Sun, Beach and Chianti wine, but also an infinity of possibilities to buy olive oil and the world famous truffle of San Miniato.
First Day:
Arrival in our lovely thermal town – Montecatini Terme – in the heart of Tuscany. Welcome Drink, Dinner and overnight at a nice 4 star Hotel.
Second Day:
Today you will visit the beautiful city of Pisa with the historical leaning tower and Piazza dei Miracoli.
In the afternoon you will reach San Miniato. San Miniato is a medieval town in the province of Pisa, located halfway between Pisa and Florence. San Miniato has a long history and was already known by the Etruscans and the Romans. The main event in San Miniato is the truffle fair that takes place in November, when truffle hunters, chefs, experts and journalists come to taste the local gastronomic speciality and buy truffle. Take the chance and buy some tasty souvenirs.
Dinner with a nice pasta party at the hotel will be served.
Another nice idea is to search the truffles by yourself! With the help of a local farmer who will show you all secrets of discovering the unique white truffle. Add also a nice cooking session and create your own pasta and delicious dishes using the truffle you found!
Third Day:
When you come to Tuscany you have to visit at least once the beautiful city of Lucca. With its renaissance walls it is one of the most fascinating cities. Sit down, drink a Cappuccino and relax.
In the afternoon, you will reach a local Farm where a guide will show you all the phases of olive oil making, you will also be able to take part in olive harvesting! After the visit, oil tasting will take place with some local wines and snacks.
Fourth Day:
Today you will visit Florence. Reaching the city by train, your guide will show you some of the most beautiful churches and monuments of this “open air museum”. In the afternoon free time for shopping or a fast lunch at the central market – Mercato Coperto. Nice farewell dinner at the Hotel will be served.
Fifth Day:
Departure after breakfast.
